Hello everyone and a happy new year,

A photo of an USN Mk8 Reflector gun sight. I powered it up, second pic is of the reticle. Still have to find the original reflector glass and the back-up ring sight.
If somebody needs more photo's please let me know.

Cheers,

Nice find and great pics!

Offhand, does anyone know the proper name of the finish that is mainly worn off of the upper housings?

Is there a particular product that you use I always assumed it was a baked on enamel product, akin to powder coating. In my experience, the original product seems so tough and durable. Hammerite paints are pretty tough, but as the name suggests, has a more hammered appearance.Hammerite Hammered Finish They use a chemical based heat reaction to achieve the effect.
