| 65 years ago, General MacArthur Returns to the Philipines Oct 20th, 1944. One of those dramatic moments that defined a stage of the war in the PTO.

| Read somewhere that all of the pics of him wading ashore were staged. He initially stepped off his Higgins onto the sand, but someone mentioned that it would be a more dramatic picture if he got his feet wet wading ashore. So they went out a little bit, turned around, and dropped him off a bit further out for the photos.
