| Gunther Rall On the 4th of October Lt.General a.D. Günther Rall passed away at the age of 91, at his home in Germany. The third most successful fighter ace in history. He achieved a total of 275 victories during World War II: 272 on the Eastern Front, of which 241 were against Soviet fighters. He flew a total of 621 combat missions, was shot down 8 times[2] and was wounded 3 times. He claimed all of his victories in the Messerschmidt  Bf 109.Before I get all teary eyed about this, was this guy a Nazi as I have heard or just a guy fighting for his country  . |

| Günther Ralls demise was first mentioned here on the day or following his passing, please observe this thread and take a moment if you would and type his name in the search function where you can your thoughts..on that particular thread a Nazi.....hardly
