    ID Help

    Hello boys,
I was hoping one of you chaps might be able to help me identify this section of a plane.

Firstly I found it in the hills in Hong Kong which will help narrow the possibilities to either Japanese or American.

After watching the clip a few times, I might have the item upside down. When I turn the piece over, the steel looks to be an aerofoil shape, but I could well be wrong.

Does anyone have any clues they maybe able to offer?
    many thanks,

If that was a Japanese aircraft, that part looks like a tail landing gear attachment of army fighter.

    Thanks Shinpachi

Thanks for the clue. I'll look into it.
Obviously the steel if to support something fairly weighty (or to take an impact) and that section looks to be on the exterior of the fuselage , so I was thinking something like a side Gun mounting for a B-25/26. However the rivets don't seem to match. The Rivets appears to be too big compared to some of the US. planes... even for the bombers.

There was a suggestion of a Japanese Spotter/scout plane, which was known to have crashed in fairly close proximity.

I'll start looking into Rear landing gears.

    Appreciate all help, cheers

If that was a scout plane, I vote for the Ki-51 Sonia.
