nose art

Hi I'm a working artist & have been asked to paint nose art on a authentic WWII plane. I have fallen in love with the art work & want to research it more before I start this project. Does anyone know of a museum that has planes that I can look at in person ? Thanks for any leads you can share. I'm in the Ct/ Mass area. Thanks!

Most of the artwork done on surviving aircraft have been redone, usually incorrectly... Ur best bet is to look at authentic pictures showing the aircraft in their true "colors"...

One of the all-time greats....

Annie, the Collings Foundation has several WW2 aircraft in their museum, and its in Massachusettes. I know they like to put some nice "artwork" on their aircraft.
