USSR destroyer that can suppress P-51

I wondered are there any such fighter built by USSR in WWII that were capable to overwhelm P-51 on turn rate, climb rate or roll rate?
I heard that MiG-7, La-7, YAK-9 were outstanding, but don't know their capability for exact.

I think all aircraft were excellent but the La-9 and the later La-11 were probably pretty comparable to the P-51 at lower altitudes. As far as overwhelming the P-51 in any performance category? I think not.

Depends on the current altitude and speed.
Generally, low down and at lower speed, Soviet birds should gain the upper hand. Higher up & at higher speed, P-51 should prevail, Merlinized P-51 especially.

The graphs about Soviet fighters are somewhere in this forum, ditto for P-51, so it should be easy to compare them.

A topic with many performance graphs:

    Tables about Soviet fighters:

    Topic about Yakovlyev fighters:

The site is on Spanish language, but that should not be the problem:

    Seems like a good site:

There you go, plenty of numbers to crunch

Dont forget for all the number crunching the pilot with the Height, the speed and the first sight nearly always won the battle no matter what was being flown
