| WW2 Recovered art Hi, I need your help. I'm trying to trace an artifact that was sent to Germany as a gift from Finland in 1943. It's a knife (puukko), similar to this one: ![]() Only four known copies were made, one for Hitler, Mussolini and one for Emperor Hirohito + one secret copy that even the Finnish HQ didn't know about. I presume that the Mussolini copy is either destroyed or has ended up somewhere it can't be traced. My inquiries in Japan are still in progress, but it isn't lookin good. So I'm thinking that there is a slight chance that the "Hitler copy" might have been captured by allied troops at the end of the war, along with so much more art in the posession of nazi Germany. Are there any records made available for the public about WW2 art recoveries? Perhaps in the congressional library? On the internet? I greatly appreciate any help.

| I can only guess but probably more likely in the hands of the Russians now, maybe being used to harvest caviar without anyone knowing it!
