Thanks guys. I am definitely getting the hang of this camera. Yet I am still amazed at the quality and clarity of the images considering that I am using the low end lens on the Nikon. The camo bird is the Percival Prentice. I have never seen that airplane moved from that spot, sadly. If you look closely, my car is parked just to the front of the left wingtip in that shot (black Camry). They had all of us working the show park inside the airfield. That's a first for me.

The guys I flew with were top notch pilots and it was a real treat. They did all the work. All I had to do was shoot.

What always amazes me is when the props are rotating at say 2000 RPM and in the stillshot you can see the individual blades... sometimes...

I added a page of shots from special guest photographer. She was in the T-34 during the formation and got some nice shots as well:

Van Gilder Aviation Photography, Pilot maker day, Karen's Photos

Here is a thumbnail of one of the shots.

Cheers! It was a great event, but we didn't make much money, unfortunately. We are planning another, and it should be easier this time...hopefully. December is always a tough month to get people out to the museum and the weather was iffy for a big chunk of the day. But I got some good pictures out of it and have made a calendar that I am donating 50% of the profits to the CAF. Here is the calendar preview:
