Though I've seen that footage many times, it's still fascinating to watch. Ive always wondered about the fate of the bloke who you see running towards the camera after seeing another aircraft about to attack, he disappears out of view and seconds later a bomb blows up near where he was standing.

Thanks for the post. I really enjoyed it. Must have been in 1942 at Santa Cruz or Eastern Solomons.

I can watch that stuff over and over, never get tired of it.

Some of the footage was used in the 1944 movie "Wing And A Prayer".
