Airfix Me 109 G-6 (new tool)

Yes, it's a new tool, but isn't a good kit, to be honest. Uncorrect shape, empty internal, simplified particulars... And too deep engraved. Had fun to build the same.
Scratchbuilt cockpit and other little things. Did a correct camo (hope so) watching original pics.

You are right. The kit isn't the one of the best replics of the G-6. But it's been finished elegantly by you.

Very nicely done. I wonder if they mean a new tool from the old tool?!! The original, 1960s kit, looks similar, with the wrong shape, but you've done a great job with it.

Got this kit in my stash. Agree with your opinion - quite bad for a new tool. What bothers me the most is completely misshaped fuselage MG covers. You did a pretty good job with it though.

Despite the inaccuracies of the kit it seems you've had good fun (for an Airfix prince) putting it together and sure enough the paintjob looks very convincing. Although no expert on the 109, I'm guessing a thing or two can also be done about certain inaccuracies if you want to. A little filler and a sanding stick goes a long way when it comes to that
