| Battle damaged Avenger Here's one of my few 1/48 scale models. This particular model was first built in 1968,(blue plastic with decals)re-painted in the '70's,(Blue /white undersides),re-built again sometime in the '90's,(early war light blue-grey scheme) and again totally re-built this year. The model holds special signifigance to me as it was one of the first in my collection. While re-building it this time I was openning a tube of super glue when it popped and spayed my workbench, globbing all over the wing of the TBF. When I tried to remove the glue globs I really messed things up.Not wanting to get rid of the airplane I decided to "battle damage" it. Here are the results. The kit is the old Monogram 1/48 kit with all the operating features. Ed |

| Nice one Ed! I remember building the same kit around about the same time, too. You've done a good job in that it still looks pretty good alongside today's kits.

| For a kit that's nearly as old as me you've sure done a good job on it. I love those old Monogram kits myself, they were light years ahead of the others at the time. She looks great and the battle damage looks just right, well worth hanging on to.
