    Grumman G 22 GulfHawk

    Ahoy
Here is one of my collections I built this 30 years ago all scrach built made from cardstock and paper and brass tubeing. This is Major Al Williams Grumman G22 GulfHawk 11 owned by the Gulf oil company. Used in airshows throught out the country to demenstrate the art of divebombing and other areil dynamics. In 1946 I was 5 6 years old I remember seeing this plane at the airshow at Lamoore Naval air station out in california. In 1947 the Grumman gulfHawk was retired and the F9F Bearcat was its sucessor. the plane was returned to gulf oil company and given to the smithsonian institute. She was Beautifull potient airplane. Here is my GulfHawk.
