Done well given the kit man!

Wow that fuselage is bent! Next time if you encounter that get some hot water not to hot though, and heat up plastic and bring it back into shape. Its just warped a bit after the moulding process.

Thanks Heinz

I also forgot to mention i had to cut and sand down about 2-3mm off the nose .

Don't get me wrong the ICM are good kits THIS one could have sneaked through the checking process.

Keith, had you read this before you started the kit?

Spitfire IX by Robert Swaddling (ICM 1/48 )
Spitfire Mk.IXc - F/O Ian Keltie by Mark Beckwith (ICM 1/48 )
ICM 1/48 Spitfire IX by Scott Van Aken

Keith, as far as I'm aware the RAF never sprayed their Spitfires in Dulux gloss paint. Possibly an error?

The length of the fuselage halves is the same.So it is not their fault.I have checked it in all ICM Spitfire Mk.IX kits I have in my stash and a few more in my friend's hobby shop.
On the other hand the fuselage is too long at about 2mm comparing to drawings of Spitfire Mk.IX.All the rest is fine and correct. Oh....except of the cockpit interior that looks like the Mk.VB rather.

I think that the reason is you haven't maintained the fuselage symmetry. I know that it is very difficult because there is lack of these settled pins. What is more the front area where the engine is mouted is scattered into a few separate pieces.
I'm not sure but you might have prepared these parts incorrectly for assembling.
