La-7 finished.

I wanted to get this one done so I could try to decide on what to do next. I winged it without some small parts or directions; it's been moved around a few times over a few months and some stuff got lost.

I was having WAY too much fun dirtying it up........

Is that Khozedub's (sp?) markings on that Lavochkin? Great looking model, btw.

Nop it isn't .It is Lt.Col. S.F Dolgushin's La7. He was the commander of the 156th IAP of the 21th IAD.

Looking very good Tom. However you have missed red-white strips on the fin and rudder of the machine.
Like in the colour profile ...source Lavochkin La-7 1/48 kit no 8461 Eduard Weekend edition

I believe they are Lt. Colonel S.F. Dolgushin's.

I had to fudge the tail markings, the original decal just didn't want to work for me. I "borrowed" the star from my son's Academy MiG-29 Fulcrum kit.

I'l try to post a pic of the proper look later today.

Edit to add:

Never mind. The all-powerful Wurger got it for me! (Thanks, Wurger)

Yep, that's the kit.

I can see also where some of the parts go that I didn't have the directions for........
