Mosquito NF mk.II & He162 Salamander

I know I haven't posted any models in ages, just been busy with work and uni. I also had to move house so sadly a lot of half finished or slightly rubbish models had to go in the bin! Anyway, I've just completed these two so thought I'd share. First up is a Mosquito of 157 Squadron, which is the 1:48 Tamiya kit

Was pleased with how the kit went together, a few decals silvered a bit though. I painted it gloss black then used matt varnish after the decals, which helped them adhere. The only thing missing are the radio antennas going through the wingtips - didn't notice until after wards and not sure if I want to risk drilling now!

The other one is the Revell 1:32 He162 Salamander 2./JG 1

Quite pleased with this one, apart from the demarcation line between the grey and green being rather vague as I don't think my airbrush can do very fine lines. A couple of bits are rather fiddly but overall it's a nice kit. Both built out the box

Not great photos I know, will try and get some outside ones if it ever stops raining!

Yep, I agree, nice work on both. Glad to hear I'm not the only one almost drowning in Britain's liquid sun!
