    PB2-Y5 Coronado Flyingboat 1/72

    Ahoy
Here is another of my flyingboat collections I built this 43 years ago this is a old sutcliff vacuform kit thats no longer in production from my understanding the comapny went out of buisness in 1972. this was a hair puller kit to build a shell of a kit. to make the kit very strong instead of useing formers I filled the the untire plane with resin and assembled with 24 hour sears filled epoxie the model is exceptionaly strong and heavy. ypou dont see any of these on any forum I guess I am the only fella that has one of these.

Thank you for your reply on my twin tailed Dumbo, I always loved the glamour of the fabulous flying boats. The coronado was one of my favorites along with the Martin Marsl. a symbol of a bygone age of aviation, thanks fewllas.

You did a wonderful job on her.

In the realm of dog fighting, if it's a fair fight... you did something wrong.

Neat way of dealing with a vac kit, how did you get the resin inside the hull and wings...after, or before assembly?
Fr President Clemenceau’s speech to the AIF 7th July 1918: “ we expected a great deal of (Australians)… We knew that you would fight a real fight, but we did not know that from the beginning you would astonish the whole continent. I shall go back and say to my countrymen “I have seen the Australians, I have looked in their faces …I know that they will fight alongside of us again until the cause for which we are all fighting is safe for us and for our children”.
