I built this Jaguar SB in the colours 8 Sqn, Sultan of Oman AF at Thumrayt where I worked for about 2 years in the mid 80's. At the time the unit also supported a second Jaguar and on Hunter Sqn.

Great stuff Vic. A few years back there was several Jag's at RAF Cranwell in Lincolnshire and where doing several low flyby's and boy did they move, infact they **** me up lol

Nice work Vic. I like the Jag too - wonder what the Airfix 1/48th scale is like. Did the Esci one about 25 years ago, which was good for the time.

I have an Airfix sitting in my stash Terry, for a 41 Sqn build. I'll let you know what it's like when building

My mistake Colin, it's 1/48 my favourite size build, not that I don't mind the others, 1?72 is just a bit small for the detailed work and 1/32 a bit to large to find a home for.
