    Tamiya 1/72 N1J1 Kawanishi Shiden

    Greetings, gentlemen:

I thought I'd try a Japanese fighter for a change. Modifications include: Razor sawing canopy into three pieces and posing open; all kit-provided cannon barrels drilled out; all shell ejector chutes drilled, cut, and filed; cowl machine gun ports drilled out; oil cooler intake provided with punched out screen material; pre-shading of panel lines with flat black; burnt umber/turpenoid oil wash.

Hope you enjoy the pictures, taken with my new Canon EOS40. Comments/criticisms welcome!

Very, very nice. Your weathering is excellent, not overdone at all. Your build work looks great also. Well Done!
