Luck had nothing to do with it. You took the time to do it right.

Thunder Thud you made an awesome model! I am building an rc p-47 in the Eileen scheme. I am having trouble getting a detailed picture of the bee. What does the bee have in its hand? It appears to be a bat or something. Where did you get your decals?

Thanks,
Mike

hello Mike I bought my decals at the local hobby shop. Have you tried Squadron.I was looking at the decal and it looks to be like a cave mans club in one hand and a six shooter in the other.

Thanks Thuder thud. This may be a stupid question but, is the nose art on both sides of the plane or just on the port side? Did this plane have the invasioin stripes on the undersides of the wings, and did it also have a star on each side on the bottom?

Thanks again for your help,
Mike

The bee looks like he has a baton or sap in the one hand.

Mike the art work was only on port side and the invasion stripes were removed from the top of the aircraft after D-day and kept on the bottom for a short time only on the fusalage then eventually were removed all together.there were star and bars on both wing bottoms and note it was standard issue for jugs to have the port wing bottom star and bar to be larger than starbord!

Thank you thunderthud! That is exactaly what I was looking for. Now I can make an acurate rc model! I will try to run down some decals, blow them up and try to airbrush it onto my plane. When I get it done I will post pictures here, if that is alright.

Thanks again,
Mike
