    You can find the power curves for both versions at p.8 and p.178. in the original manual for the AM-38 and AM-38F.

    Your thread reminded me that I had a copy of an official flight test report for the La-5 in which the maximum SL speed at nominal power (1400HP) was 509 hm/h and 535 km/h at takeoff power (1700HP).

    Ki-48 Speed/Altitude data?

    Warbird Performance Blog also has performance data for the Ki-48 which I would consider more reliable than the TAIC reports since it's owner uses original japanese documentation, and that the TAIC reports are more performances estimations than actual flight data.

    Shouldn't the second set of drawings be the right one then? Judging by the photos in Wurger's post #6, the ailerons seem to have a squared tip, and your picture shows that the wingtip aifoil's trailing edge is cut which would indicate that another part, namely the aileron, closes it.

    According to "Vânător - Romanian Hunter" by Radu Brînzan (p.312), the two-tone camouflage was applied to IAR-80s an -81s by the factory up to aircraft n°300 around 1943.
