    Zoom Climb

At what power setting? Are you able to change power to max climb, or is it combat power, or cruise?

    Zoom Climb

I guess because 'zoom' climb hasn't been adequately defined.

    F-22 Mishap

The Air Force is investigating a mishap involving an F-22 fighter jet that took place at about 11:30 a.m. on May 6 at the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport, Ga. One pilot was involved in the mishap but "no injuries were sustained," the Georgia Air National Guard's 165th Airlift Wing...

    Zoom Climb

Trying to avoid breaking over a group of people watching! Second one I did the break after passing the group, went much better, and they didn't have to see the filthy bottom of the aircraft.

    Zoom Climb

And, like every performance discussion, the caveat here is that pilot input has such a huge impact that the actual numbers are a very rough guide. e.g. I have pulled up from a buzz and break and busted circuit altitude, and on the same flight not even made circuit altitude simply because I...

I wonder how long until we see a drone dropping flechettes on the trenches?

Girls and Aircraft - Volume II

I bet they were paying a hejj of a lot more for their tickets than people now do. NZ to London when it first started was the equivalent of $25k one way. Now its about 10% of that.

    The Weather Where You Live?

Luckily the rain mostly fell on the other side of the hills, so no need to evacuate. Bluebird day here today.

    The Weather Where You Live?

Heavy rain overnight. They've issued an evacuation notice for a township about 10 minutes out of Blenheim as they're worried about the stop banks. Hopefully the rain in the hills stops soon so that the river doesn't come up too much more.
