Demo 300LB M31

My new side restoration project is a Demolution 300 LB M31 bomb.
Due to the low lot number, it was probably built before March 1942, so yellow. Does anyone know what FS number they had or does RAL1021 rapeseed yellow or 1023 traffic yellow go?
Does anyone know how these were labeled?

As memory serves all bombs made before the 1st March 1942 were painted FS 33538 yellow. Bombs made after the date were painted OD green and marked with 2" yellow bands on the nose or/and tail of the bomb.

Here is the bomb made after 1942 but the tail retained the yellow colour.

I know about the olive green and the yellow stripes, but in the books I have only talk about yellow but without a more precise name, I learned something again.
According to the book I have, the lettering is black

Here is a replic of the M43 500lb Demolition bomb. So yes, the lettering was black.

I found out that FS 33538/ FS595C corresponds to RAL 1004 golden yellow

Yes. The yellow colour could be also known as the orange-yellow or the insignia yellow.

Brushed off today with a wire brush (in an angle grinder) and installed with a rust converter (Brunox).
