Ok so got some questions I'd like some input on. I've got some ideas I'm looking at, but would like other inputs. The cargo section is white, not a good color as it stands out way to bright and as can be noted in the photos posted, it's well worn and dingy. I'm thinking to add a few drops of a grey to the white. I'm guessing that by adjusting the shade and percentages of grey/white I'll get some of the tone down I'm looking for. All inputs welcome.

Yep, similar to the Herc and other transports. The main cabin (cargo bay) may appear white, but to me, in those pics shown in this thread, it ;looks to be a mix of various very light greys / beige greys, with differing tones on the fabric soundproofing and the 'plastic' fittings, much lightet ah the cockpit grey finish.

So here she is. I've started moving plastic. First and foremost is to find places to stick weight. Kit calls for fifty grams of nose weight. With that huge quad tail and with wings folded, well that just adds to a lot of weight aft of MAC. Well I found one place right away as the nose gear well is mounted with a large gap between the cockpit floor. So I have had for many years sheet lead. I took a section and folded in half and cut alignment holes.

Thanks all. Gee Glen getting the sheet lead that easy, well you get to demolish something and you get the lead too. Dang that's a win win! I bought mine in a hobby town in Georgia twenty five years ago.

Anyway, I'm getting along. I'm finding that the kinetic instructions are a little short of useful. Not the first kit company I could say that about. The parts fit is pretty darn nice though.

I have the floor and the upper bracing dry fit in now.

I agree, pack in as much as it has room for.
I also use sheet, salvaged from roofing lead 'flashing' (probably a couple of churches with leaking roofs around here !), as well as air gun pellets, flattened down and secured with 'Plasticine'.
It a form of baptism, right?
