The Soviet pilot, commander of 1st Squadron, 18th GvIAP captain Simon Sibirin, who shot down five German planes, congratulates the French fighter pilot Captain Albert Littolfa after an air battle in which he shot down a German plane Fw-189. In the background, Yak-1B squadron "Normandie".
Simon A. Sibirin in July 1944 was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union. By the end of the war had on his account 16 downed aircraft and one person in the group. May 6, 1949 died in office.
Albert Littolf died in an air battle over the month of fasting that has been made this picture - July 16, 1943. By the time of death on account of his had 6 kills himself, 8 in the group (10 of these 14 aircraft shot down Littolf fighting the Germans in France, North Africa and Crete) and two uncommitted enemy aircraft. He was posthumously awarded the Order of the Patriotic War 1st degree.
