Shown here is a fully-equipped P-47D-25 Thunderbolt belonging to the Twelfth US Army Air Force in Italy. As well as its normal eight 12.7 mm (0.50 in) Browning machine-guns, this aircraft is carrying two 454 kg (1,000 lb) bombs as well as six 70 mm (2.75 in) rockets.
