These kites with the names of the former German's colonies were of the 2./JG27. Most of the known pics of the Emils were taken in 1940.
The "SAMOA" "Red 1" was flown by the commander Oblt. Gerd Framm. The "TOGO" "Red 9" flown by Hans Wedige. The "KAMERUN" was the "Black 4" flown by Fritz Keller. The "Palau Inseln" was the "Red 11".
