Day 2 in camp compared to day 6. It finally poured rained over night

So far my 50km diameter area is lucky - lots of small fires that the volunteer brigade have managed to stop. Multiple started by the same idiot according to the brigade captain when we met earlier today. There have been a lot of significant fires about 100km from us and this press photo shows one spectacular fire a little over 100 km away that has killed two and destroyed 16 homes so far.

Two weeks later, sub zero temperatures, snow on the ground and still 175 fires burning

  • 24 out of control
  • 39 being held
  • 112 under control
I've removed the filters to show only the red dot, out of control fires

Actually yes. We are over 60% below snow pack levels. A lot depends on spring run off including supplying my mine with water in the summer. At this time of year I should have over 3ft on my lawn and now I have less than a foot
Hopefully you can get closer to what you need in the next few months, bad as that may make driving/traveling.
