U.S.N. Anti-sub scheme

I thought I saw something a few years ago - that there was one or two facilities on the East Coast that repainted USN planes from the blue schemes to the Grey over white anti-sub scheme. Did Grumman or Douglas factory paint planes in the grey and white or were they all done in Navy facilities? I thought someone wrote that each facility had different techniques. I built this 1/48 scale Monogram TBF about 19 years ago.

I've recently been working on Navy ASW camouflage records - from what little I've seen, Douglas and Grumman delivered their aircraft without anti-sub camouflage or equipment. It looks like all the mods came from depots or field units. Some Catalina's may have been delivered with ASW camouflage.
