Early production Ki-27b China 1938 with an army trainer in the background, Ki-9 or Ki-17, I lean to it being a Ki-9.On the other hand, noticing the stripes also makes me think it's a Ki-27 of the Manchuko air force.
This picture was taken after April 1944 as Ki-84s are seen.

Great photo.

Could you please translate the writing on the aircraft and identify the unit marking on the tail?
It looks 護國長春壹號 = Gokoku Chosyun Ichi-go (ID: Defense of country Changchun no.1) which belonged to the 1st unit of Manchuria Army Air Corps and stayed in Changchun. It was donated by Changchun citizens :)

According to Wiki, Manchuria Aircraft Mfg. Co. Ltd. (満洲飛行機製造株式会社) located in Harbin built 2,196 aircraft including the Ki-27 from 1938 to 1945.
Manchukuo itself held as many as 700,000 troops and did not declare war against the Allies. Hence, they did not have to surrender together with the Empire of Japan so soon :)

Ki-61-II's wing-tip lights.
Before restoration by Kawasaki in 2015, original holes for the color filters were sealed and painted unnaturally.
Based on a mold copied from the Ki-100 in Cosford, new filter covers were made.
