Thanks all. Grunged up the undersides - the Erks can't keep up with the oil leaks....

Pitot tube from the kit was tossed and replaced with brass tubing.

I painted the drop tanks a khaki olivey greeny browny colour and will install once weathered up. Pics for those next.

Not really Wayne. Here is one of the khaki olivey greeny browny drop tanks, scratched up with a couple of coloured pencils. I've seen some builds showing them chipped to bare metal but my understanding is that these tanks were made of either wood or bamboo.

Finishing touches now applied.

Fabricated a step that was not included in the kit:

Starboard nav light changed from green to blue:

Antenna wires made from stretched clear sprue:

I'll do a final look over tomorrow and add any final touches that I discover. Maybe finished pics too if it's at that point.
