Same here Mike....love the old machines, the looks, the technology (or lack of thereof :lol:).....

My granddad worked for the railroad, my dad did, I did for a short stint and my dads cousin moved to Canada and worked for the railroad there, back in the '20's, which one we don't know....

Lucky, exactly it is truly amazing what human kind has been able to accomplish even without machines other than maybe some rope, copper chisels, and some logs.
My grandfather drove horses that pulled trolleys for the CTA. I remember the ice man bringing 50lb blocks of ice for their icebox and how POed gramps was when they stopped doing it and he had to buy an "electric refrigerator". He hated that box, said it gave the food an "electric" taste. Yea I'm old........
