I don't know what did you to that but it looks worse that before it had. Try to use another one.

Use some of the masking tape to protect them against the carpet Sarlack.:lol:
 
Great. Now take the glassy part out and put away to a small box. Clean the green stick. Remove all dust and pieces of plastic.Sand it slightly with the thinnest sandpaper and then wash it and dry.Readiness state for RLM02 ans silver paints.;)

Ok. ALso you need a clip to in order to keep it vertically when paint is drying
As the first paint use the RLM02 and paint the stick around the ending with the hole.It has to be a strip of 1mm width.Don't use too much of the paint.
 
I don't have a clip. I have adhesive putty that will keep it vertical though...

I'm unclear. So paint the ends of the cylinder RLM 02?
 
The putty is a good idea.It can be.

But paint the one ending only.It is the one where you drilled holes.Something like in the pic below.
